OK, admittedly it is partly because all the other .com domain names were already taken (25 years ago). But also, it’s because it does say something about what it is I'm trying to do. No really.
I've always been interested in language learning, and I've tried a few different approaches in the past with varying degrees of success. But not only have I not tried every method available, I don't know even know what all the available methods actually are.
A quick Google search of the words “Learn Spanish” reveals a seemingly interminable catalog of commercially available (ie presumably expensive) and free resources. But sometimes more choice just means making more choices, and this makes things harder rather than easier.
What is the best way to start learning a language? How do you make quick progress? Are apps better than audio courses? Should you use both? What about interactive websites, grammar books, podcasts, YouTube lessons, conversation exchanges, movies or TV shows? What works and what doesn't? How do you find out?
There's only one answer: try them all.
So that's what I'm going to do. Run the full gamut of approaches from A to Z (See, I told you the name of website meant something). I'll start with the ones I already know about, add in others as I go along, and post reviews of the ones I think are good or should be avoided.
